Lengthening the Torso — Breastbone

Intermediate Yoga Action 15:

Move from behind breastbone (sternum) in four directions: (Fig. 174).
1) broaden middle
2) lift upper edge toward sternal notch
3) draw bottom edge toward pubic bone
4) deepen space between front inner face of sternum and back inner face of spine

(Use these actions in each of the Pre, Peak and Plus Poses. For asymmetrical poses, complete the action on both sides.)
