Transforming Fear to Joy

Who Runs Your Show — Personality or Spirituality?

Most of us are taught to believe we are human beings when in actuality we are spirits being human.  Our human aspect is a temporary experience, which allows us to know the physical world and ourselves within it.  Our true essence is our consciousness or awareness, which witnesses our experiences in this physical body and dimension.

Because of the limiting belief — I am a human being — many of us have forgotten who we are and why we are here.  Although our uniqueness, both in consciousness and in human form, impassions us with a sense of individual mission, we share a common purpose.  That universal purpose is to awaken to our true nature — to grow spiritually.

In spite of a limited belief in personality versus spirituality, our internal programming drives us toward growth.  What we seek is not personal growth, but rather spiritual growth — fulfillment of our potential.  Herein lies the conundrum.  Although growth may show on the outside, it does not start there.  Growth is an inside job.  Our external world is merely a reflection of how effectively we are fulfilling our purpose.  When we are able to step out of our limiting belief of being human and embrace the ‘unlimiting’ belief of being spirit, we witness the radical transformation of our physical world and create both an internal and external paradise not just for a few but for all.

Like the surrounding forest,
I am a creature of the Earth plane
in ascension to the stars.

A tree grows through me rooted in my heart
where all journeys begin and never end.

Earth, hands and head befriend heart
growing, undulating toward the light
releasing, emptying thought and story
returning, embracing the essence of infinity.

Who runs your show — your spiritual essence or your physical presence?  What step can you take today to more fully express your true essence and purpose for being?

If the affirmation below fits you, repeat it three or four times each day.  Better yet, write an affirmation that suits your current need.

I go inside for understanding and direction.  All my decisions are grounded in peace, love and joy.
